Dear Mr. Reidy:

Re: BioSol Products: 110, 310, and 610
I have reviewed the information attached to your letter of February 4, 1994 regarding your request to confirm our previous assessments of BioSol 110 and 310 and to evaluate for the first time BioSol 610 in light of the requirements of the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act and Waste Control Regulation.

Based on their chemical composition and physical properties, it is my opinion that these products do not meet the hazardous waste criteria as defined in the legislation mentioned above and, as such, they are not considered hazardous waste.

Furthermore, and assuming that no recycling capability is available, the liquid effluent resulting from the use of these cleaning agents is potentially biodegradable and suitable for discharge to the local wastewater treatment plant. However, in case this option is considered, permission should be obtained from the local municipality in compliance with local sewer by-laws.
